Ecodek is off to the Seaside!

Ecodek® has been chosen to supply an alternative to a softwood or hardwood deck board that is ideal for outdoor dining areas. The Harry Ramsden’s restaurant that specified Ecodek is located on the attractive Bournemouth seafront, moments from the Oceanarium; the restaurant consists of two levels, an upstairs restaurant with large windows and a spacious terrace to ensure your meal is accompanied with scenic views over the coast.

To improve their customer experience further, Harry Ramsden’s decided to update their terrace area by selecting Ecodek’s composite decking, the bespoke ‘stadia’ profile supplied is designed to minimise the possibility for food or litter to fall underneath the terrace thus reducing the risk of health and fire hazards.

Other benefits of using Ecodek composite decking in this project included the need for a new low maintenance outdoor eating area. Unlike timber decking, there are no requirements to stain or paint the area every year, just ensure that it is kept clean and free of debris.  Another advantage of the 250 linear metres of Light Brown boards supplied is that they will not rot, this is especially important when in such close proximity to the corrosive effects of sea water!
